*yawns sleepily*
Sep. 2nd, 2005 09:32 amI'm half asleep this morning, pottering about before going into town to get some court shoes for my new job. Apparently it's rather seriously corporate and so I must somehow put together a business suit. This strikes me as mildly silly, but for £10 an hour, there's a lot I'll do.
I'm also pondering role playing games, from Zeitgeist Sabbat in which I am realising that I really do have some rather John McEnroe stylee role playing tendancies (jez tells me that the whereabouts of a tennis ball will, however, have no bearing on whether or not I manage to actually accomplish the goals he set me with the NPC I've been told to run. I still yelled 'it was on the line' a couple of times more before going to bed) to Play-Yourself where I am feeling rather bemused as to why everything has gone KABOOM again.
*yawns*
For some reason I am really rather dazed today.
Oh, I've also been bouncing e mails with various people re: Zeitgeist Garou which seems to be getting a fairly good response. This makes me happy. I am remembering how much fun setting up a game from scratch can be, and am in a hopeful place. It also looks like
ksirafai may be playing as well, thus proving that we live in an Age of Miracles.
And now, onward! An exciting world of dull black high heeled shoes awaits.

Date: 2005-09-02 09:24 am (UTC)1) Yet again, I am out of a place where I was comfortably set up. See the 'You guys lost me my job' rant of previous.
2) The whole almost getting me killed thing. Thats really bad.
3) The Michael Corleone 'Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in.' rant.
4) The fact that everyone feels the need to play with wazzy powers they dont understand ASAP. The fact that they saved you guys ONCE does not excuse it from the many times its caused us tragedy.
5) The fact that there is no progression in wazzy power trying out. Its not 'Hey, I am a salubri. Let me see if I can life-sense.'. Its 'Hey, I am a salubri and Sally just removed ryan from her memories. Let me pull out her soul. I mean, I have never done it before, but nothing can go wrong with that, right?'
6) The fact that no one learns from their mistake.
7) The fact that there is no accountability for mistakes. People just go 'Thats ok *insert person who screwed up here*. I mean, you may have fucked the group over, but its fine. It happens. We have all screwed up in the past. I want accountability. I want their noses rubbed in it. What will that solve, you ask? If a kid keeps fucking up and you dont punish them, then they will continue with their behavior. And yes, we are all acting like children.
8) The fact that whenever I get fucked over and rant, everyone basically tells me to shut up and stop my whinging.
9) That whole 'Everyone has fucked up, *such and such* is due' or 'Everyone has fucked up. You have fucked up too, so stop your bitching' is getting old.
10) If you go back to previous rants months ago IC and OOC about the play yourself game, you will see that some of the points are the same. That means we arent learning from our mistakes.

Date: 2005-09-02 03:16 pm (UTC)Yes, you've gotten shit from us. I've gotten shit from being part of the that group - I'd really be way happier either living as a princess in Fading Suns world, or pottering around with horses in 7th Sea world. I'm fairly sure that MattMatt and Ginnie would love to be in Marvel world, where they knew the rules. It's entirely possible that Elle's been yanked off some world she wanted to be in too.
Equally, we've periodically gone out of our way to help you - all of us. And finally I do believe that the big rants don't actually solve anything.
Ach. That isn't meant to be a major rant, coz I'm not in a ranty head space IC or OOC - just a slightly bemused and rather tired headspace and me vaguely trying to explain my lack of understanding.

Date: 2005-09-05 11:14 am (UTC)Or rather, let me ask you this... How many times have I made a world invalid and never able to return to? Perhaps MAYBE the fading suns world. Perhaps. Once. Fair enough. I have had to deal with it twice through no real fault of my own. Let me know how many more times I have to endure world ending screw ups before I am 'allowed' to be angry.

Date: 2005-09-02 09:08 am (UTC)...That, and the idea of three people sitting down and doing all the work for me strikes me as entertaining and a bit wasteful of me _not_ to look at what y'all have done... :P Besides, Fen's a fun bit of fluff.
Any character sheet I can look at and say 'Dodge? What are you talking about? Dodging means I can't get to the fight as fast - besides, I'm indestructible...' has to be entertaining, if ony briefly. :P

Date: 2005-09-02 09:14 am (UTC)Or is it a true age of wonder and Ginnie is playing something that doesnt get the basic gift "Groom"?

Date: 2005-09-02 09:33 am (UTC)I thought this was unreasonable.
...Besides, I rarely play Tenere by choice; Kumoti and Hatar are more entertaining. Mm, Viskr... :)

Date: 2005-09-02 09:39 am (UTC)I think we had:
Influence Kinfolk
Numina Kinfolk
Combat Death On Legs
Glasswalker Philodox.
I think that was four.

Date: 2005-09-02 09:06 pm (UTC)Re: Zeitgeist Garou
Date: 2005-09-03 07:34 am (UTC)I will warn in advance that this game is very specifically not an internet based game - there is some e mail involvement, but it is partly aimed at getting away from the cam situation where if one didn't have internet access then one couldn't really participate.
If you can show up it's very easy tho!
