Kittens, and HAPPY thoughts

Erm. Yes. So. Moving on...
pierot and I have been given the option of kittens. I've been speaking by a nice lady who breeds Cornish Rex cats, which are cats with very short and curly coats which in the past have been shown to not affect people with mild allergies to cat as they don't shed really, and can't spread their fur and dander about as much. We're going to meet the parent cats and the kittens and see how his breathing goes. If he gets the whole aching lung thing, then no cats. If it doesn't affect him, then Debbie (the nice lady with the cats) is keeping aside two of the kittens for us.
I'm now pondering. I've missed having a cat. I like cats. I like them a lot. On the other hand, having cats would mean that some of our friends who do have severe allergies are not going to be able to visit. It means that we aren't going to be in a position to say 'sod it' and take off around the world. On the other hand, there would be cats, and I really do like cats. I'm still pondering.
Oh - I have pics of the kittens at the moment. They were only born a couple of days ago, so are very little.
