What would Julie Andrews do?
Apr. 7th, 2005 10:27 amAs some of you know, I'm not in the happiest of moods today.
I'm trying to get through to the doctor, and I've had a rather rough time over the last 24 hours. Blood, guts, gore, and everything falling apart. And that's just my social circle.
However, I have decided to follow the advice of a woman of great wisdom. A nun, no less! A woman with spiritual insight, a profound grasp of the workings of the universe. Oh, and a woman with an accent you could cut diamond on, let alone glass.
Yes. What would Julie Andrews do?
She'd be thinking of her favourite things, and then life wouldn't feel so bad.
Therefore, in the spirit of this, I thought I'd list some of my favourite things, or at least positive things which have cheered me up today. Brown paper packages tied up with string don't cut it. I'm thinking about:
And these are some of my happy and cheerful things today. Give me more. Tell me nice things that have happened to you over the last couple of days or stuff I should be cheerful about. I'm refusing to wallow.

The entire new wardrobe that I've got, with a dozen little goth tops, a button up shirt and a fitted chinese dress. All clothes I used to not be able to wear before my op.
The figure I have which I still get excited about when I look in the mirror.
The friends who let me cackle and plan out volcano related death traps. You know, no one is a problem after they have been doused in molten lava. Except Darth Vader and he was at least vastly improved by the experience (Haydan Christian to James Earl Jones. That's a good make over!)
Noel Coward on Saturday.
Melbourne in July.
Milkshakes with
Sunshine outside, with a cool clear breeze.
And these are some of my happy and cheerful things today. Give me more. Tell me nice things that have happened to you over the last couple of days or stuff I should be cheerful about. I'm refusing to wallow.
