Stabbity glory is mine!
Jun. 7th, 2007 11:40 amThose of you who have spoken to me in person of late will know why this is a big deal.
As an explanation, I've been on a quest in World of Warcraft for about a week. I have to kill ten stonesplinter troggs, and ten stonesplinter scouts. For a week, I've been going to the valley where they live, running in, killing maybe one of them, and then dying. Over, and over, and over again.
I wound up getting so fed up that I left the lands of the dwarves and gnomes (again, some may realise what a great step this was for me - me who said "I just don't like Tall People. Why don't they stay in their own lands, and leave me alone with my personages of a proper height?"), and travelled to the Land of Tall. In Elwyn Forest I killed kobolds (and wept as I did it) in order to build up xp. I travelled to Westfall, and battled with bandits, until I collected more levels.
And finally, I travelled back to Loch Modan. I went back to that damn valley, with my new level 13 gnome (shut up! All of you! Level 13 is a big deal for me!. I normally only play for half an hour per day, in between other things) and I slaughtered the stonesplinter troggs! I killed ten of them! And ten of their scouts. I only died once, and that was trying to get away!
This makes me happy.
What makes me almost as happy is the hideous clash of colours I now have on my gnome. I have pink hair, a red shirt, a yellow cape, and purple trousers. Can life get any better than this?
