Little triumphs

OK, so I didn't make it to Gemma's birthday party this evening.

Neither did I make to my works evening do.

On the other hand, I did do all my Christmas grocery shopping, get ksirafai and bringeroflight their Christmas presents, and bake my first load of mince pies for the festive season.

I feel I am doing well.

I strongly suspect that Ginnie will wake up Christmas morning and yell to a passing street urchin. "Boy! What time is it? It's Christmas morn? There's still time! Thank you, Spirits!"

Sadly, my parents are dealing with all that jazz. I've already bought Stuff and now have no more responsibility towards Christmas, bar getting a wig for my sister.

Though it does get slightly embarrassing when one's little brother texts to say 'what do you want for Christmas?' and the reply is 'AoA collected edition book 2 - you gave me the first one last year because I asked, remember?'

I like people who tell me exactly what they want and then don't bother trying to look surprised. Saves so much trouble. :P

How old?
And what circumstances would Sophie embrace? Someone dying, someone she needed, define the emotional dynamic.

I have a feeling this could work. Who is Sophie's sire? I heard from Nick that one of the Mekhet in London is Tearlach's childe, but do not know if it is Sophie. I did not ask him who it was.
