Good stuff about today!

1) I found an awesome willow tree by the river at lunchtime and went climbing on it without falling in.

2) I cleared a huge backlog of work in a burst of energy.

3) I finally got round to writing a Vipers In Velvet update (which will make sense to very very few people) and did a weird Renaissance alter ego look at my life which was kind of satisfying.

4) I had an awesome bonding chat with my boss about life, the universe and everything and think I might actually be making a real friend.

5) I am now going to the pub for drinks with an actual local person. Also, there will be pizza.

It started here (http://winterthing.livejournal.com/294311.html) when Krys and I were in South America and bored. Then it continued here (http://vipersinvelvet.livejournal.com/profile).

And then it faded but recently I got to thinking about it again, mostly about how much things have changed, what with my life being so very up in the air at the moment so I wrote a bit of a scribble. And it made me smile.

The question is, did you update the caricatures to match more up to date relationships - I know it was always 'take some inspiration, then go off wildly into fiction', but even so...I don't think there are many (any?) of the lampooned relationships from '03 that are still in existence - hell, several of us don't even have the same LJs any more, often as a result of some level of personal re-invention...

I must admit, I kinda failed to mention a bunch of folk, killed off some more (the ones who aren’t involved in the Cam/IoD anymore, as it was always a bit about those circles), and then distracted myself with coming up with new alter egos for a bunch of new folk and trying to imagine the new world of 2012. I think I had Livsey and Jamie Smith as ‘robber barons of the north’ for example. I think the only names from the 2003 version who got mentioned/updated were me, Ginnie, Simon and Sarah Blake for some reason.

Yes, birdies. :-) And it was really really fun and I am now very enthused and saddened that the strange world of non-IoD larp means I need to wait for months before I can do anything.
