It appears that finding temp work in August when you've got to be back in college in October is officially Bloody Difficult. So far I've had one temp agency just say flat out that I couldn't register with them as they only wanted people who are available full time until December at least, another temp agency tell me cheerily that once my thesis is done, they'll be happy to find me work, and another sign me up, and then become non-contactable.

As of today I am moving to a new tactic.

I've applied for two permanent part time positions - both library assistant type positions. We'll see how that goes, and even if I don't make as much cash over the next six weeks as I would do if I were working, I'll have more money coming in over the long term.

In other news, I also seem to be a bit poorly today. My head is aching, I feel giddy, and I nearly fainted in the middle of Canary Wharf where I was wandering handing out CVs. I had to sit down and put my head between my knees for a bit. I wondered if it was stress, and upon finding nothing to be that stressed out about, decided that it might actually be physical. So be nice to me.

I have now, coz I thought it might be low blood sugar. Still feeling a bit icky, but getting better.

Otherwise I'd suggest caffeine withdrawl, but you do not partake. Just as a back-up; get a chocolate bar, it has sugar and caffeine and is good for recovery from Dementor attack.

What would Sally's Patronus look like, to fend of Dementors?
