Argh!

So, tomorrow evening I'm running a debate contest at the US Embassy, with the winner getting an all expenses paid trip to the States.

One of my judges just pulled out. This morning.

I'm having kittens.

Does anyone know someone who is a serious/semi-serious debater, and might be free tomorrow night? I'll buy them dinner and they will have my eternal gratitude. Honestly, I'd prefer someone who has debated at a university level at least, tho I know some of you do have school debate team experience, and I might end up resorting to begging favours from you as a push.

This is a bit of a last minute panic. If you know someone who is outside London, I may be able to get hold of travel expenses for them too.

He is a friend of mine who is part of the debating society and does things at regionals for it, or something. But unfortunately is out of the country >.

I won a university debating competition and would be happy to do it but I really need to rehearse for my show tommorrow night.

It would only be early evening - just until around 7.30 pm ish? So you wouldn't be losing an entire evening.

My rehearsal is early evening I'm afraid - its the only time Paul can do. I'm having to turn down helping Albany as well. Sorry :(

I do totally understand that you're rehearsing. I was just hoping I might be able to steal you for the late afternoon/early evening and then let you go as soon as the debate is done.

Well. I'll have a word with Paul. It may be that we can shift the time and location of the rehearsal. Would mean we'd have to do it at his house and then go late. And we're really hoping to get the stuff into London before then - as we're performing part of it in a competition on friday!
