Madoc has managed to dye his fur.

I don't know how, but he has two blue stripes down his side, the exact shade of Jeremiah's normal blue-black hair dye.

I shall now find out what happens. Does cat fur grow out? Does permanent hair dye eventually fade away? Do I have a ginger and blue cat for life?

Enquiring minds do want to know...

It will disappear after a while. But in the meantime I want to see pics of your blue-striped cat. Did he go to see Alice in Wonderland and decide that blue stripes on cats is definitely in this year? :)

It'll fall out over time, but may take a fair while to do so.

You can in the mean time attempt the Martial Art of Cat Bathing but only if you possess the requisite protective gear (chain mail and kevlar!)

Must commend your cat on managing to pick out the die for his fur which is the exact complementary colour of ginger !

At a guess, hairdye stuff was thrown away in the bathroom bin at cat height, cat decided to investigate ammonia smell in case another animal had been scent-marking his home...
