Life Plans (tm)
Jul. 27th, 2005 10:47 pmI'm still in a ridiculously good mood.
I didn't fail!
*does her happy dance*
I spoke to Cait today as well - one of the girls on my course - and found out that she got a distinction and as far as she is aware everyone passed. This is good news. And now I progress onwards in the saga of 'What Sally Did Next'. I've now sent my CV off to the temp agency
ksirafai recommended, and I've enrolled for a 'Chemistry For Conservators' course starting in January, which hopefully will qualify me to then start my postgrad diploma in conservation in a year's time. So, in two year's time I shall hopefully be a fully qualified Conservator, which I think is what I'd like to do. I've been thinking about conservation for a long time - since I worked at the NAS - and I think it's time for me to find a job and settle for a while.
I've also moved most of my stuff from Oxford to London now - at the end of this month I am officially moving in to the Cantina when
vilenspotens moves out. Erm. Yes. As opposed to what could be described as an unofficial residency there for the last seven months. *looks thankfully at Ryan and Lee for permitting this*
Everything is coming together. I'm really feeling rather positive at the moment. Even the trauma of moving can't shake that! I'm two thirds of the way to my postgraduate diploma, I'm enrolled for the first part of my professional qualification, I've got a boyfriend I'm rather fond of and I'm moving towards getting some kind of settled home life for the first time in years. I'm in the Women of the Camarilla calender which is coming out soon (pretty pics of me!) and my post operative scars have already faded to thin pink lines which really aren't very noticeable. I'm in better health than I have been in years, and I've even got a nice haircut at the moment.
I'm sure it won't last, but right now life just seems to be full of hope.
Oh, and happy birthday to
vireton. Sorry I couldn't make your birthday drinks, but I'm very glad you had fun! Many good wishes and good luck for the next year.
And now, to bed! It's late, and I shall sleep. Tomorrow is unpacking and arranging mine and jez's room into some kind of sensible space.

"You keep saying that. I wonder what your basis of comparison is."
Date: 2005-07-28 06:59 am (UTC)Sally is reasonably attractive, mind you, even when she talks.
But Jez is the prettiest.

Re: "You keep saying that. I wonder what your basis of comparison is."
Date: 2005-07-28 09:03 pm (UTC)Ok, you are right. The eyes are amazing.
There was terribly funny incident that occured while they were over here - Raven and I had dropped over to ask them out to the movies with a bunch of us. Anyway, when I arrived, Sal was about to get in the shower and Jez had hopped out - he walked into the living room wearing a towel, and Raven watched me blush and go speechless..... He was very tactful and decided to go and get dressed. I did not realise I had blushed - I am incredibly bad with eye candy...
They make a gorgeous couple.

Date: 2005-07-29 07:32 am (UTC)I love the idea that Jez visiting Australia was like chumming the water for sharks...
Hm, I think just compared to Jez to bloody chunks of fish...
Re: "You keep saying that. I wonder what your basis of comparison is."
Date: 2005-07-29 08:26 am (UTC)thank you for making me laugh - its an absolutely shitful day.

Date: 2005-07-29 08:31 am (UTC)She's had to put up with me trying to lure Jez away for a year or so now. I almost had him with the Mountain Dew.
