Please let interest rates stay low. Please let the economy not improve too much.

I need the market to stay as it is until the summer when I re-mortgage. Right now, I could get a fixed rate mortgage at nearly 2% less than I'm paying at the moment. I wantssss that. I wants it so bad.

They shouldstay low for at least 6 months to stimulate the economy.

The economy is also unlikely to improve until after a general election. Regardless of who wins, neither party is going to do anything that will *actually* give us long term growth until after that, as what they'll have to do will be pretty unpopular.

I understand. I was sooo lucky that my fixed-term mortgage ended this summer. The five-year fixed rate I picked up may be the only thing keeping me off the streets!

Interest rates won't be going up before the end of 2010.

I'm currently paying 5.79% and coming to the end of my 5 year fixed. I'm looking forward to paying 2.5%. But your words make me have the fear, perhaps I should look to fix...?
