Argh!

I want to go into work today. I really really do. I got up at 8 am, all ready and willing and able.

*sighs*

And the process of going downstairs, feeding the cats, and making myself breakfast has left me giddy and nauseous. It feels as if the room is literally spinning around me. I'm wondering whether there's any point in setting off for the train station, or if I'm mostly just inflicting unnecessary pain on myself.

Oh, this is just so frustrating.

Honestly, from that description the Tube is not going to be your friend today.

Call work, and see if there's anything you can do remotely, maybe, but travel doesn't seem like a wise move to me.

Is there any work you can do from home?

If you're feeling that shaky how much use will you be if you even made it in (since it sounds like the tube might kill you)? Call them and ask if there is something you can do from home?

My supervisor has chronic labyrinthitis and when it hit him one weekend he called in and took the next week off. Give things time to ease, and for goodness sake don't go down lots of steep steps into the Tube!

Second what they say about at least volunteering to work from home to show willing.

This basically summarises as 'I'm totally still ill, I just don't notice as long as I lie completely still', doesn't it?

Unless getting to work, doing your job, and getting home again involves lying completely still you should be fine, yes.

Back in the real world, take another day off, and see if there's anything you can have sent over to you to work on at the computer :)

(Oh, and I had some clever line worked out about you having labyrinthitis and [livejournal.com profile] pierot being the Goblin King, but I've forgotten how it went. So you'll just have to take my word that it was dead witty :) )
