A woman in a corset, crinoline and powdered wig checking her e mail on a laptop.

The Benjamin Franklin House does an 'interactive historical experience' which involves people being taken around the house on a guided tour by a woman dressed up as Polly Hewson, who was the daughter of Franklin's landlady and sort of his adopted daughter. Anyway, there's a actress who plays her, in full costume and it's not really worth getting changed in between shows.

It was just an amusing sight to witness.

Ilove incongruites like that - when I was in Romew I saw a file of Monks walking towards the vatican if the full brown cassock thingies, but all with matching Ray-bans on...
