A General Life Update
Oct. 7th, 2009 12:19 pmOooh, I've not done one of these in a while, have I?
For those who do not know, my life is going through a fair chunk of change at the moment.
Firstly, and most importantly, I'm changing jobs. I'm currently working my last three days at the Fan Museum* and then on Monday I will be starting as Education Manager at the Benjamin Franklin House, which is just off Trafalgar Square and will be working there, five days a week, Monday-Friday, 9.30 am to 6 pm from then on in. The good news is that I get a pay rise, and a better job. The bad news is that I get less time, but nevertheless, I'm really chuffed about it.
pierot is also being terribly busy at the moment, as he's gone back to university to study Comparative Theology, and so is currently at Heythrop College in central London for most of the week, talking about Abrahamic religion. Sometimes with nuns. This alarms me. He's also been doing some chugging, which is also good, but is a bit of a dramatic change from before. We're both rapidly re-discovering the joy of early nights.
As well as that, Zeitgeist, the independent OldWoD larp that
pierot and I have been running is coming to an end. I've now run the Apocalypse, and so Garou is over, and we're taking a few more months to run an ending for Mage and Vampire and then it's done. It's a strangely liberating feeling - I've loved Zeitgeist, but it's been a really big commitment for a long time, and now it's coming to an end. I'm still role playing, but if I want, I can just not turn up and no one will care. That's a nice sensation.
I'm doing some more Isle of Darkness, and I'm considering other games, but generally I am trying to keep some more time back for myself. I don't want to over-commit to anything right now. I'm also meant to be writing an essay for this MA in distance learning via Leicester, and am rather cursing its existence.
So, much change. Much variation. Many good things, I hope. I definitely hope.
So, that's me. Is there anything else I've forgotten to update people about? Anything else you guys would like to know?
*Which was lovely and lazy, and today has suddenly turned into Actual Work as the intern isn't in, and Mary, who is doing a lot for the exhibition, needs help. Which is fair, as I'm here and not doing anything, but damnit! I've only got a few days to go. I am filled with Lazy.

No pan-dimensional entity yet.
Jez may have joined the Chorus but I think it's more likely he's just a Euthanatos on an exchange programme. He's always been an Entropy bunny.
