Spend more time with your mother.

Other than that, just get on with your life. You'll make mistakes. You'll do dumb stuff. Bad stuff will happen. But without it, you won't end up as the person you are now, and frankly, owning your own house, living with your gorgeous boyfriend and working as a museum curator isn't a bad place to be by the time you're 30.

Oh, and 2003 Grand National. Scrape every penny you have together and put it all on Monty's Pass at 40-1 to win. Believe me, you'll be glad you did it.

Heh. That last is about the only kind of advice i'd give myself that I'm prepared to share on LJ...

Silver Birch in the 2007 Grand National at 33-1 isn't a bad move either.

The more I think about, the more certain I actually am that I really would only use timetravel for money making purposes. Everything else I kind of see as having a purpose in making me, me. But I really wouldn't mind being a slightly wealthier me.

Oh, I totally agree. I think the main chunk of my advice would be "Don't take out that loan, use these lottery numbers instead."

That, and maybe "Seriously, she's not worth the effort."

Netscape float at $9 a share and peak at $1457. Don't sell too early."

I think it's important to focus on what time travel is really good for.

"Dear David
When you get hit on by the International Vice President of [Global Corporation], don't pass it up. I hear the Burj al-Arab is very nice at this time of year."

I always wonder though why people assume that more money means more happiness? I don't have a lot of money, but frankly I think I have enough for what I need and I definately think that more money will make it worse.

I don't think that money buys happiness. I do, however, think that poverty buys misery.

All the love in the world doesn't help if you can't afford to eat.

Right now every single problem that I have, I think, could be solved by the application of around £30k per year.
