My Weekend

Good Bits

• Spending a chilled day in Lambourn on Friday


• Having an interesting Play-Yourself game on Friday evening, in which everyone was very nice to me despite me turning up late and ratty from bad traffic


• Going to see 'The Far Pavillions' on Saturday with my sisters. Tis a surprisingly good play, with some fantastic moments of pointless pyrrhic heroism which made me cry. There was also some lovely Indian stylee music in amidst all the standard musical numbers. Sitting in Haagan Daazs with siblings also made for a good afternoon.


• Swimming this morning which untied my muscles and relaxed me a bit.


• Finding the plane tickets and discovering that mine and pierot's flights don't leave until 9 pm on Tuesday which means that time isn't as tight as I had feared.


• Spending a really nice couple of hours at the pub with isalani and his lady friend, ksirafai, rweishaar and pierot. We sat and chatted and watched the sun go down and the lamps go up over the Thames. Ryan managed to not go evil/crazy for the entire two hours as well, which was a good thing.


• A really rather good Zeitgeist Sabbat game. We had nearly 30 players, and a really good game. I think I'm actually beginning to get into my character.


• Hot Fudge Chocolate Brownie Sundae. It makes a lot of things better.

Bad Bits

• Mass domestic trauma in the Cantina. Much tension around.


• Me having to leave Lambourn early to get back up to London to role play, and having to drag all my clothes out of the tumble drier still damp. It's two days before we leave for Australia and I'm still drying the goddamn clothes I want to take.

Hrm. Overall good. But I am still annoyed with the lack of a tumble drier. I think I may go hunting for a laundrette today!

Is it OK if I steal the drying racks back from your room, actually?

I'm home today and trying to get everything laid out to pack, rent etc paid in, bedroom tidied and traveller's cheques purchased. I'd vaguely planned to go back to Oxford and pick stuff up, but that's not looking feasible.

pierot is talking about running some Play-Yourself tonight (we've got a castorlion and maybe a wildrogue showing up) but that should be Downstairs at Evil.
