  • Why on earth did Turkey do so well? OK, so the singer was hot and had a very cute hip wiggle, but the song was awful!

  • I did like the Norwegian song. I don't know that I thought it was so very much better than all the others, but I did like it, and the small man bouncing around with his violin was very cool.

  • Poor Germany! They deserved to do much better. They had a man wearing silver trousers, crooning at Dita von Teese. That surely merited some more points.

  • The Icelandic creepy ghost ship was cute.

  • Greece disturbed me. Man should not reach Eurovision based on his pelvic thrusts alone.

  • Andrew Lloyd Webber is getting old, and he clearly misses Tim Rice. He needs a lyricist.

  • I am worried by the fact I can't even remember which country went first - the monochromatic man who set himself on fire. I also think he deserved more. But I was the only person who liked him.

  • Graham Norton did well, and I think was a worthy successor to Terry Wogan.

  • What was the point of the freakish model girls in bad hairpieces before the start of every song? I mean really?

  • Malta also deserved much better! Their singer was a really decent and solid power ballad.

  • Bless Darren for posting up all our commentary on his LJ. It is making me giggles anew.

It turns out that Eurovision, with added Baileys and extra people, is very entertaining. Mildly hungover today, unfortunately. It was probably worth it.

In other news, I've got two more Dreamwidth codes. Does anyone want them?

Andre Lloyd Webber may miss Tim Curry, but I don't know why if Tim Rice wrote the songs :-P

I have no idea how good any of it was as I went out in the end, but UK was boring boring boring, and Norway was cute :-)

:p

Apparently it is a foolish move for me to type whilst hungover. I'll just got and fix that. :p

The UK was very boring. I think our original comment on it was that Andrew Lloyd Webber had written a second rate Disney Princess song.

I had a Eurovision party it was brilliant! Germany were my favourite, they ticked all the Eurovision boxes, can't believe they didn't score higher!

I wouldn't mind a dreamwidth code, dunno if I'll use it though1 I can't remember the name of my facebook account, and people keep friending me...!

Have had internet problems, but will reply to email soon

My cousins discovered many years ago, that the best way to watch eurovision is to have a hat with every country in the competition written on a peice of paper inside. At the beginning of the show everyone takes a country and the winner gets a small prize. Apparently it takes the whole madness of eurovision toa whole new level.

It was my first Eurovision, and I think I have been converted. Bring on 2009.

*ahem* 2010. I am still a bit hungover, in my defense.
