Am I a Horse or a Snake?

Due to being born on Chinese New Year, I've always been confused? Am I beautiful, groomed and manipulative or am I tempestuous and headstrong?* It's hard being born on the turning point in the astrological year.
On the plus side, it means that every once in a while I get to spend my birthday dressed in red and eating dim sum, which is what I did last night.
I had a lovely birthday in the end. I went up to Hatfield at around lunchtime, mostly to poke at houses for there is a chance (not a large chance, but a chance) that
pierot and I will be moving there due to Jeremiah job-stuff. We looked at a few places, discovered that we could definitely get more house for our money in Hatfield than London, and then decamped to 23 Fore Street, where
castorlion,
adze and
unifex were waiting. I was given birthday presents, and in due course
molez and
isalani arrived, followed by my two sisters, and then there was dim sum, chatter and eventually birthday cake. And I blew out all the candles on my birthday cake in one go, and hopefully will get my wish granted.
I also got stuff.
From Jeremiah I got an amber necklace, a pair of pink fluffy socks, and a little butterfly pendant in an embroidered box covered with butterflies.
From Virginia, I got a huge fluffy pink bathrobe (there was a 'pink' theme from my housemates. I don't know what that says about our relationship), the DVD of Ballet Shoes (*squeeee*) and a Noel Streatfield book which I'm reading as I type.
From James I got a little cuddly eeyore and a book of cute looking cats.
From Andy I got skating lessons, and a couple of ice themed books.
From Neill I got something rather cool. Now, as many of you know, my main hobby is role playing, where I pretend to be someone else for a while. I'm also prone to writing up the events of the role playing games I'm in, as a series of short stories, which I mostly just stick up online and forget about. Now, I've done quite a lot of role playing with Neill of late, and have written a load of stuff about it. Neill spent absolutely ages hunting down all the stories I've written, cutting and pasting them into word, then added pictures, printed it all out, and had it bound. So, I now actually have a gorgeous book filled with about a year and a half's worth of my short stories. I was incredibly impressed and am still cooing over it.
Finally from Helen and Kate I got a bag for my skates, although they tell me I have another present for Sunday, which is yet to arrive.
Twas a lovely birthday, and it made me exceptionally happy. I even had a bout of competence in the morning and got my university work done. This also makes me very happy.
*Ginnie says this isn't hard to work out at all, and she is quite sure that I fell on the 'Year of the Horse' side of Chinese New Year in 1978.

Date: 2008-02-08 11:12 am (UTC)Also, this apparently makes me:
Fire: Dynamic, Humanitarian, Energetic, Passionate, Enterprising, Adventurous, Restless, Competitive, Leadership Skills, Strong, Single-minded, Loves a good laugh
Dragon: Magnanimous, vigorous, strong, self-assured, proud, direct, eager, zealous, fiery, passionate, decisive, pioneering, ambitious, generous, loyal. Can be arrogant, tyrannical, demanding, eccentric, dogmatic, over-bearing, impetuous, brash.
At the moment I am 'loving a good laugh' at the claim that I'm decisive...
Apparently....

And some of it fits rather well - except for looking for parties to attend (which is on another site - http://www.rainfall.com/horoscop/chinese.htm )
I believe I'm destined to have old fashioned chivalry - which isn't that bad to be honest.
