Shiney happy thoughts for the weekend

- I have new sneakers from New Look. They are black canvas, covered in many brightly coloured stars, with white rubber toes - they're like converse trainers with more stars. They were £8, and look deeply cheerful on my feet.
- I spent this morning running around in pixelated world, collecting small imaginary pets. Or, to be more precise, I now have two new shiney pets in World of Warcraft. I have a chicken and a rabbit. I know this is sad, but strangely, I can live with that.
- I have been wearing a gorgeous, edible scent all day. I am wearing 'Jack', by the Black Phoenix Alchemy Laboratory, and it smells of pumpkins, butterscotch, and warm autumn nights. I'm not sure what I can use the scent for - it's not a sexy evening scent, or a summery afternoon scent, or a comforting 'cuddle me' scent - but it's nice and it makes me feel all warm inside.
- I got to chat to my li'l sis for an hour on the phone today, which was lovely, and I found out that my not-quite-brother-in-law is beginning to get interviews for proper 3D modelling work. This is fab, for he is very talented, very hard working, and really deserves it.
- I have a brand new DVD - Blood & Chocolate - which is the film adaption of one of my favourite books. Maybe it will be a thing of awful and hideousness, but right now I'm still in that stage where I can have Hope (tm).
What are your happy thoughts for the weekend?

Date: 2007-07-06 01:26 am (UTC)My prize ones are the nether whelp from the collector's edition, Sleepy Willy this baby beholder that falls asleep from children's week, and my spirit of summer little glowy red ball from the fire festival quests.
Hey do you get the oceanic servers? I think your right, I can't reach the American ones. But we might both be able to see the Oceanic ones. Curious now.

Date: 2007-07-06 09:50 am (UTC)My prize pet is my panda cub from the original collector's edition, which was given to me as a gift when I started playing. It is a thing of shininess. Other than that, I'm quite fond of the chicken at the moment. I clucked to get that chicken!
And I'm always interested in knowing where shiney new pets are. ATM, I think I'm limited by being relatively ickle and only being lvl 22, but I am going up in the world steadily!

Date: 2007-07-06 05:32 pm (UTC)Ah yeah I remember the chicken clucking. Harder for us Horde folk since we have to come over there and mow people down to have space for clucking.
Theres a pet vendor in each city too. I think theres lady right outside stormwind that sells kitties. And in Booty Bay a goblin sells parots. If you know anyone in Outland theres a vendor in the Consortium base that sells mana wyrms and dragonhawks. Sometimes in the Goblin Auction Houses you'll find horde only pets being sold across lines too.
Theres alot of random drop ones too. Like the dragon whelpings from the various whelpling mobs.
And at the height of fishing there is a magical crawdad named Mr. Pinchy.
Anyways, it seems wierd that Americans can't access the European servers. I guess so that they don't get burdened maybe. And maybe Oceanic are the servers that bridge the gap. Odd. Lemme know.

Hoping to land a job with the resumes I'm passing out tomorrow -crosses fingers-
Planning my boyfriend's trip to see me at the end of the month!
That's all I can come up with; I don't have much to do, ha.

Date: 2007-07-06 09:46 am (UTC)Damnit - I think I'm booked most of the weekend. You're not around in the evening to come to the Collge Arms and play Anton or something are you?
(btw, the tour de france goes right past my house. It's very strange. It sounds wrong, somehow)
I don't have any...
Date: 2007-07-06 07:28 am (UTC)What I do have, are some hopeful thoughts. Hope that I should be finished with the moving and cleaning by the end of tomorrow, and that then, I can get some rest, relax a bit, and settle in to the new house.
So yeah, nothing that makes me bouncy and happy, as there's still a lot of work between here and there, but there is hope, that the future will get better, and soon.

Date: 2007-07-07 07:32 am (UTC)- two weeks of unadulterated husband and puppy time
- going to Cornwall on holiday - a largely undiscovered area of the UK for me, having only been there once in my distant past with my parents as a little girl which I don't remember much of and then for a few days for the second leg of our honeymoon in 2004
- fish & chips by the seaside!
- oh and the weather is looking up.......briefly......I'm still packing my rain macs!
