A grab bag of thoughts...
Apr. 10th, 2007 05:24 pm- I need to drink more. I got slightly tipsy on both Friday night, when we had a bit of a BBQ after the ST meeting, and then again yesterday when
pierot and I went into London to meet up with Nick and Mandy. On both Saturday and today I had a lousy headache. I suspect it comes from a lack of familiarity with alchohol. My body really doesn't like it any more. - I want my bpal packages to arrive! I've now bought four imps on ebay, and have am waiting for them to come through the post. I've had to wait for the whole bank holiday weekend so far, and am lacking interesting new smells.
I also have a magical and lovely package coming from
obake in the US as well which I'm getting all impatient waiting for. - It's odd - the first week of my easter holiday has gone already, and suddenly I'm aware that I may be working next week, and I've got another two weeks to write up a 3000 word essay on DNA testing. Time passes so very quickly.
- I love having a garden. I don't think I've really made the most of my garden before now - it's been cold and rainy, and so it has just rather stayed there - this tangle of weeds and grass. Last week I hacked the greenery back into a passable, if slightly wild lawn. Now it's flat and smooth enough to lay a blanket out on, and with the weather as nice as it has been, it's wonderful to be able to sprawl in the sun. I'm currently trying to work out what to do next, and am looking thoughtfully at getting some wild flower seeds and seeing if I can just sprinkle them about my garden, although I'm tempted to pick up something to plant for this summer.
astro_dust said recently that he was beginning to feel as if bpal was some kind of cult which was sucking in every single female role player he knew.
It's true! Since I starting expressing an interest in the stuff I have discovered that everyone I know is also collecting, swapping and chatting about Black Phoenix Alchemy Laboratories. I don't know if it's a bad thing, and I think it might be part of the fun, but it's very strange to realise that Polly was right.
Well, almost right. I believe
wraithwitch and
ksirafai are remaining stalwart and resisting. For the moment, at any rate...- I am in a writing mood today and am trying to scribble nonsense. Has anyone got any ideas?

Date: 2007-04-10 05:58 pm (UTC)Which is odd, as we spend most of our weekends in a pub...
Also, I may have some wild flower seeds left over for something I had plans to do on the allotment, but never did. Your welcome to them if you want...
