Am I a Horse or a Snake?
Feb. 8th, 2008 09:26 amDue to being born on Chinese New Year, I've always been confused? Am I beautiful, groomed and manipulative or am I tempestuous and headstrong?* It's hard being born on the turning point in the astrological year.
On the plus side, it means that every once in a while I get to spend my birthday dressed in red and eating dim sum, which is what I did last night.
I had a lovely birthday in the end. I went up to Hatfield at around lunchtime, mostly to poke at houses for there is a chance (not a large chance, but a chance) that
pierot and I will be moving there due to Jeremiah job-stuff. We looked at a few places, discovered that we could definitely get more house for our money in Hatfield than London, and then decamped to 23 Fore Street, where
castorlion,
adze and
unifex were waiting. I was given birthday presents, and in due course
molez and
isalani arrived, followed by my two sisters, and then there was dim sum, chatter and eventually birthday cake. And I blew out all the candles on my birthday cake in one go, and hopefully will get my wish granted.
I also got stuff.
( Sally's birthday list of greed )
Twas a lovely birthday, and it made me exceptionally happy. I even had a bout of competence in the morning and got my university work done. This also makes me very happy.
*Ginnie says this isn't hard to work out at all, and she is quite sure that I fell on the 'Year of the Horse' side of Chinese New Year in 1978.
