Look! A map!

I appear to be in a much more bouncy mood about my birthday than normal. I'm not a birthday person at all, but this year it appears to be coming together. I got glorious birthday cake from wildrogue on Sunday, and the entire ZG crew singing me happy birthday, I got my birthday presents from pierot at midnight last night (as he'd be asleep when I left for my morning seminar) and they are just perfect* and when I came downstairs this morning I found out that ksirafai had strung up a 'happy birthday' banner in the living room. I also have presents from her lurking, which I'm about to open.

This makes me very happy and bouncy. The world is a good place

Today I have a museology seminar, a science lecture, and an evening lecture on conservation, then I'm going out for pancakes with my family and flatmates. It's not a big birthday celebration, but I think I like my birthday that way.

I really am in a very good mood today.

Update: Squeeee! I got a fluffy pink scarf, nice warm gloves and a red shawl from ksirafai. I LIKE shawls.

*A gorgeous wooden artist's carry box**, the pirateology book, which I'm saving for our second born child (the first born is being cut up into small slices and given out to all the people it's been traded away to over the years) in order to help him/her with his/her pirate training** and the DVDs of the animated Shakespeare series that the BBC did a while ago.

***I decided a while ago that one day jez and I would have a child. This child would be named 'Morgan', whatever the gender, and trained from birth to be a pirate, as there just aren't enough pirates in the world.
