The next ZG Game

Is it an act of love or malice when one's Significant Other gives one a Disney Store fancy dress 'Elizabeth Swann from Pirates of the Caribbean' dress for Christmas?
I'm not sure.
The damn thing fits perfectly.
I'm now having to gen up a new character for the next ZG game who might wear such a thing. Has anyone got any ideas? A Camarilla vampire who would wear an 18th century style dress? It's yellow, so lacking in the goth-y-ness.
As for the rest of my Christmas, I had a rather good day.
pierot and I spent the morning together, and then the afternoon with
wildrogue,
imnotagoth and
isalani, and it was lovely. Hopefully Elle has now forgiven me for the Frost Dragon incident.
I shall not list my hoard of loot in total, for that would take a very long time. The Elizabeth Swann dress from jez was mostly made up for by the gorgeous soft shawl and antique jewellery box he also got me (amongst other things). My family were fantastic as ever, and I had a great Christmas stocking and a selection of Good Presents, including a scanner from Dad (which jez and I may or may not have room for on the computer desk. Hmmmm...), chilli chocolate from Middle Sister (technically jez's Christmas present, but I've been nibbling) which I didn't know existed before, and a selection of history books from Youngest Sister.
I also now have more lush products than I know what to do with, which is always a good position to be in.
And now, it's Boxing Day. As John Lennon would say 'another year over'. I'm in a mellow mood today, feeling cheerful and not very pondersome which is rare for me. I am going to fiddle with photos, and in a while I shall cook breakfast.
Christmas has been good. And I am content.

Date: 2006-12-26 11:01 am (UTC)I just don't think an Elizabeth Swann dress is very Firinne, and I've promised that I'll wear this dress at least once.
Jez cackled when I made that promise.
As I've got a couple of slots free, it seemed easier to gen up a new PC for a game than ask jez for an NPC. I was kinda wanting a month's break from Harpy Trauma anyway, so it all sort of fitted together nicely.

Date: 2006-12-26 11:03 am (UTC)A months break from Firinne may help clear her head a little as well... not the easiest couple of months she's had!

Date: 2006-12-26 11:29 am (UTC)And, what the hey? NPCing is, at least, a decent introduction to the gameworld.
WhenIf I come down, I shall undertake to NPC for at least my first...three games. Yes.no subject
Date: 2006-12-26 11:40 am (UTC)The fourth Saturday is Mummy and then Sabbat, and the fourth Sunday is Mage and then Mortals with Mortals really being a bit of a low powered cross over game - a LOT of people play their PCs from the other venues, but they don't tend to kick off there.
Honestly, if you've got a good PC idea, jez will kick you towards that quite happily. It's just if you want to try out the gameworld then he'll use you for a game or so fairly cheerfully.
Both Ginnie and myself can give you game background til it is spilling out of your ears if you wish!

Honestly, a

Date: 2006-12-27 09:34 am (UTC)I'd sulk, but instead I'll carry on playing my lovely reluctant-Seneschal Toreador and my slightly Dreamspeakery Bone Gnawer Theurge.
If you do want to share cars (on the offchance Sally's not mentioned), talk to

Date: 2006-12-26 11:06 am (UTC)Old school larper, someone Abi and I know from Legion and from D&D Online, who we've discovered lives about 2 miles from Mike H. He's played both venues before, and whilst it's been a while, has played MET, which will make things a little easier.

Date: 2006-12-26 11:09 am (UTC)Oh, btw, if you're still looking for something to do on New Year's Eve, there's a gathering at Neill C's up in Hatfield that I believe you'd be welcome at.

Date: 2006-12-26 11:20 am (UTC)For that matter, who is he living with these days, since I may have their numbers?
Also, any idea on the crash space situation up there at the moment?
no subject
Date: 2006-12-26 11:42 am (UTC)As to who he's living with - I've not a clue! Erm. Some Hatfield people who I don't know? I don't think they will be there which is why the gathering.
Crash space - not a clue again! I'm driving back down afterwards, for I loves my own bed.
His e mail addy is neill.cram@gmail.com. I'll check with him if he's OK with his phone no being passed on.

Date: 2006-12-26 11:38 am (UTC)I'll mail you address and phone number shortly, and crash space shouldn't be a problem - I reckon we can get 5 or six in our front room without too much trouble.
I'm kind of looking forward to seeing this...

Date: 2006-12-26 11:43 am (UTC)And...
Bah. I shall wear this dress for the next game. And all may make their own judgements.

Date: 2006-12-26 11:51 am (UTC)I did debate wearing this dress for New Year and then decided that I'd stick to jeans instead!
I hate this PC, which has just eaten my reply...
Date: 2006-12-26 12:06 pm (UTC)Oh yeah:
I *could* make New Year's a fancy dress party, but I don't thnk that's such a good idea. Of course, I could just tell you it's a fancy dress party, and tell everyone else that it isn't. This idea would work better if it wasn't for Jez & Ginnie.
As for the ideas, either she could be wearing a fake period costume to be making a statement about the fake courtliness of a Camarilla gathering, or she could be an Embrace-and-run, dragged in by the Scourge from a fancy-dress party she's just been to, and possibly made a mess of.
Also, I'm very confuzzled this morning as well, as I've only really been awake about a half hour. I'm not sure if it's misty outside, or if that's just sleep in my eyes...

Date: 2006-12-27 09:32 am (UTC)Then again, I've noticed over Christmas that I actually own three pairs of trousers which aren't work trousers. And none of them are respectable.
Eh. :P
