[personal profile] headinclouds,[personal profile] headinclouds, why did you do this to me?

Why did you tell me about Nomad Clothing's website? Why did you paste up the url, and then let it stay, provocatively on my computer, tempting me with it's collection of comfy looking, yet cool and colourful pieces of clothing?

At least Hot Topic has the decency to be in America and therefore very hard to order from. Nomad Clothing just want to suck my money, replenish my wardrobe and leave me penniless forever.

AND they've got a really nice looking skirt on there today...

*grins* Good luck.

I won't specify what I want you to have good luck _doing_, just generally that I'm evilly amused by your torment. ;P

You know how you don't like shopping for new clothes?

That's coz I STOLE ALL YOUR SHOPPING URGES. I honestly think I could buy a new wardrobe every month quite happily.

*sighs*

And I'm still weak in shopping-fu compared to my sisters.

*snicker* Lucky, lucky you... Or something.

Ooh, and remember to check the housePhone number? And... erm, call Paul@College Arms. Was there anything else you wanted me to remind you about?

I'm calling Paul after lunchtime. I suspect he does not welcome calls at 9 am.

Compared to yours sisters?

HA!

I'm way more girly than them. Ok, I'm more girly than the rowing one but less girly than the one I made cry.

BECAUSE THEY'RE SO PRETTY!

If I'm going to end up spending all my money there, then you should too.

*nods firmly*

Or alternatively:

Don't go blaming me for your own lack of willpower. :P

I traded my willpower for a pretty kurta and a t shirt with sunflowers on it. :p

Actually, I think this year, Nomad's tried to save me some money, and not put temptation in my path. They sent a copy of their autumn/winter catalogue to my mother (who'd bought me a coat from there for Christmas last year) and another copy to [livejournal.com profile] red_phil (who buys me things far more often than any sensible person should) but they never sent one to me, in spite of me having spent silly amounts of money with them last year. Maybe they felt it was just too cruel....

They just took pity on you and decided they couldn't bear to see you in the gutter?

I just never knew they had a website, and there aren't many shops around here that sell their stuff, so I've been safe for AGES. Then I discovered the website and it's been a bit of a temptation ever since.

In my case, knowledge of their website was entirely self-inflicted. When my Zombike was back on the road again after we rebuilt the engine, we did a wee weekend trip up to Glencoe to see if Zombike would manage it okay, and I discovered some Nomad's stuff in a shop in Glencoe village. The a month or two later, we were stopped in Fort William when we went away on a longer trip, and found a shop full of lovely stuff from Nomad's, And at that point, the only way Phil could get me to leave the shop (without buying just about everything they had in stock) was to tell me that they would have a website and I could get it all from there once we got home. So when we got back to civilisation, I went looking, and have no-one to blame but myself.

Unless I can blame Phil? *looks hopeful*

It sounds like it was clearly Phil's fault! He suggested the website idea!

Tsk...what a BAD MAN! *nods nods nods*

Yay! Bad Phil! It *was* him that talked me into buying the nice green velvet bodice and jacket - all £75 worth of it!

Sally, I've already told her off for spending all our money. We can all three of us be poor but happy together!

I love looking at their stuff but I'm too nervous about buying online... let me know how it works out if you get anything :)

I got a kurta and a t shirt. The t shirt was gorgeous, fitted wonderfully, and looks great. The kurta is a little smaller than I was expecting, but is cute, and I think it's just the cut is slightly different to expected.

The arrived really quickly, nicely packaged, all quite painless really. If you're OK with buying online at all, they are actually pretty good.

I've ordered loads of stuff from them online over the last year or two, and never had a problem. They're usually extremely quick, too.

I've also just discovered how they deal with things when it doesn't all go to plan (and usually they are great to deal with). I ordered two things from them at the end of last week, and was going to ring them today to find out where they got to, but before I got the chance they emailed me *and* called me to let me know that one of the two things had been held up, and they expect to have it in in about two weeks. They had the other thing, but had been waiting for the other item to come in, with the intention of sending them together. They offered me a refund and offered to let me try the same thing in a different size, but I said I was happy to wait the two weeks, and they're sending out the item that they do have in stock today. Since they don't charge for postage on anything ordered from their website, there's no extra charge for sending it in two lots either. In short, I am pretty happy with they way they deal with any problems, but their service is usually excellent anyway.

How could you!

But you and Hot Topic are so very very far away. You know that it's really Hot Topic I love. Nomad is just a cheap substitute. I promise.

(and what do you think of the skirt, btw)

I think you would look reasonably attractive in the skirt.

As always though, the skirt would look a lot better if it cost 75% less. :)
