Surrey Docks Farm

As of now, I am a signed up volunteer at Surrey Docks City Farm. I work 9 am - 1 pm on Fridays, feeding the animals, mucking out, and helping with the milking. I'm learning to milk goats, which amuses me no end. It turns out that I can make a good enough impression on 5 hours sleep to get a volunteer job, although I have decided that I am never doing that again. Mucking out cow sheds for two hours, in 30 degrees heat, while already nauseous from lack of sleep is not a fun idea.
I'm also currently trying the Weight Watchers diet. So far, I quite like it, although I'm using the points more as a guideline than a 'I let it devour my life'. I quite like having a way of telling myself that I don't need to feel guilty - if I've had a light lunch and breakfast, and done some exercise, I get a nice dinner with no guilt, and that's not too bad. Hopefully it'll shift the 14 ibs that are bothering me at the moment and get me back down to the weight I was last really comfortable at.
This summer seems to be a summer of Sorting Sally's Life Out (tm). I'm feeling optimistic about this.
