Very Quick Update

pierot and I are still mostly off line, although we allegedly have a computer arriving tomorrow. I'm not sure if the internet has been turned on at the new place yet or not.

I'm working 9-5 at the moment, which means I'm working through the core hours at Cancer Research UK, and as such am working under the full weight of the firewall.

I'm oddly detached from the world like this.

The cats are doing well and are getting settled and bouncy. I'm suffering from a strange urge to move to Newcastle. It's a whole 'there's two places in the UK I can do my Masters. One is London. One is Newcastle. I could afford to buy a house in Newcastle. The odds of me ever doing that down here feels very small right now.' kind of thing.

pierot has an irrational hatred of Newcastle, which I think is very unreasonable.

I've also tried an experimental 'I can't work full time next week' statement on work. Boss is away this week. We'll see how it goes when she gets back. Soon, I shall find out whether or not I stay here.

It's a time of great anticipation, and I'm not talking about Christmas...
