This is one of my rare public entries about Zeitgeist.

Zeitgeist, for those who don't know, is a live action rpg set in the old style World of Darkness - the one White Wolf nuked. It's run indepedently of the Cam UK by myself, [profile] pierot and [profile] portilis. We currently have a Sabbat, Cam-Anarch and a Mage game (run by jez), a Garou game (run by me) and a Mummy game (run by Mike). We also have a Mortals game starting up soon, run by [profile] molez.

This weekend we have Mummy and Mortals running on the Saturday, and Mage and Sabbat running on the Sunday. It's a fun game, with a lot going on, and I know that jez, Mike and Andy would love some new players. The Magi are trying to get themselves established in London (and the Order of Hermes are still looking for their lost chantry), the Sabbat may be trying to storm Battersea Power Station, and the Mummies are probably doing Mummy-like things. The weekend after that (the first weekend of June), we have Garou and Cam-Anarch, which I KNOW some people want to come and play.

So if you're interested at all, have some kind of nostalgia for the old WoD, or just want to come and see me (*preen preen*) you would be very very welcome.

All games are held at the College Arms, which is on Store Street, just off the Tottenham Court Road.

'Twould be lovely to see folks.

Why, in the name of the Angry Space God are we attacking a power plant? I mean... infernal demons are people too! Really.... there they are, chanting away to their dark lord and someone jumps them. I thought this was a free country where there was freedom of religion.

I mean, how would you like it if angry quakers stabbed you in the head while you were praying??

How rude....

It's true. The Sabbat are being extremely unreasonable, I feel. You have a happy little group of cultists, sacrificing humans in private, bothering no one (except the humans they are sacrificing, suspect) and suddenly the Sabbat are jumping down their throats!

Although I'm having a whole weird brain melt moment at the thought of angry quakers stabbing anyone. I spent my teen years hanging out with those guys, and I can't see the stabbing. The relentless hugging until you lose the will to live, perhaps, but stabbing...not so much.

Well, really!

I mean, so the Infernalists are sacrificing humans to a higher (or lower) power.

Is that any different than a Blood feast held in Caine's name?

Quakers are violent.

See.. I would consider a mage game but not a WoD game... same for Sabbat to a degree.

Huh? I'm missing the distinction; please clarify?

seperate games in their own world an dcontinuity with no cross venue issues. Mage is exciting enpough for me without vampires as is sabbat without werewolves or mummies.

I think it's a whole personal preference thing. To be honest, I think it's possible to play mage without hitting the other venues massively, but I know I wouldn't be able to guarantee that.

I personally quite like the holistic element of ZG - there is a whole world out there, and it isn't artificially kept apart with big walls, but I can see where you're coming from.

Oh I agree if the people playing it want it then great for them. I did think about mage but the x-over aspect was the reason I did not want to play. The big issue with old WoD always was wether the walls were artifical I always though tit was a far better set of rules and experiences if you did not knwo what was out there bar your self. Probably why after MAg eI rate Hunter the Reckonign the best game.

Eh. Its not so much that these creatures live in the same world that bothers me. Its that these creatures are in the same venues. Potentially Mummies in the Mage venue, Changing Breeds in the Mummy venue, Hunters/DA Inquisitors in the Sabbat venue.....

I'll stop ranting now.

That relies on the werewolves not building their caern in your back garden. :) Makes it a little hard to avoid them really.

I know man, I hate cross venue. There are enough antagonists and allies within each venue without the need to find more from other venues. Artifical though thye may be, I prefer barriers...

Well, I am off to France soon as you may have heard.

I believe James has plans to head over to London on occasion and I will probably be popping over as well.

So, you may well get characters from me soonish. *grins*

Not sure what I am going to do yet, but keep your eyes peeled.

Indeed *grins*

You weren't at the National! I am suffering from Mattmatt hug deprivation!

Bah!

It clashed with a game I actually wanted to play.

I love old WoD. We're running a few Changeling campaigns, and a Werewolf Wild West.

Well, you could always come and play...

Erm. You're in Nova Scotia, right? Might be a _bit_ of a commute for you :p
