I find this sort of thing absolutely fascinating. It's amazing the extent to which what we are, what we could be, is shaped by our ancestors, by their experiences.

I, as a note, do not think I could be HIV resistant to any great level. I don't have much in the way of Viking heritage. I do, however, look to those of you from the Barbarian North. You may yet outlive us all!
