I now have a job until the end of November. It involves being a receptionist. Sadly, they are not just going to pay me to read books for all that time. If I'm staying longer, my boss wants to train me up and give me more responsibility. I am going to miss the quiet reading time. But I do like the money.
I also have a car back. I have £250 less money. This is better than I was expecting, although it is not good.
I have 8 hours per day of access to the BBC world service and news channels. I now know more about the British economy than I ever needed to know. I am also learning a lot about short wave radio and about the strange secret power of the people who actually broadcast a lot of the BBC.
I am also pondering Elizabethan and Jacobean poetry. I'm not quite sure why.
