My christmas stocking is fuscia.

This may seem like a non-sequiteur, but there's a story to it. I've got a Christmas stocking that my Mum made for me when I was tiny. It is normally dark green cord. However, yesterday one of my evil lovely cats decided to expel bodily fluids on to it. I stuck it in the washing machine, along with a maroon jumper that also got got by cat.

It appears the jumper wasn't colour-fast. My stocking is now maroon and I'm weirdly mopey about it.

My Christmas stocking!

*mopes*

Take cat. Wash with Jumper. Make cat go through life fuscia. It's petty but it might make you feel better.

Sorry.

The Thang - well - when are you free? I'm pondering suggesting that we pick a week night coming up and meet somewhere quietish and pub-like (maybe in the south London area as we're both there) and run it over a couple of drinks.

I'm at Requiem tonight, but I don't know if it would be inappropriate to sneak away during someone else's game.

That's sad! Perhaps, if it will stand up to it, you could dye it back to dark green, maybe bleaching it first? It depends how much you want to risk ruining it further - and, of course, it'll never be quite the way it was before.

*hug* I know what you mean, though.

Try re-washing on its own. If the dye was non-colour-fast enough to get *on* to it in the first place, it may come out if washed again (provided there's nothing to keep adding dye to the mix this time!)
