...and I'm back from Cornwall.

Did I mention that I was going away to Cornwall for two weeks? It occured to me after I left that I might not have done. Anyway. Yes. I was in Cornwall for two weeks, with [livejournal.com profile] pierot, [livejournal.com profile] ksirafai, [livejournal.com profile] molez, [livejournal.com profile] castorlion, [livejournal.com profile] unifex, [livejournal.com profile] reindeerflotila and [livejournal.com profile] astro_dust. We stayed in a gorgeous house near Tintagel with its own private swimming pool, and it was fab!

I'll try and write a longer entry later, but for now will just say that highlights included:

  • The extended game of water polo which actually left me with aching arms for days after I repeatedly got over-enthusiastic in trying to punch the ball as far down the pool as possible.

  • Wandering around Tintagel Castle with Darren, Polly, MattMatt and Andy discussing how we would make use of the castle as a refuge in case of a zombie invasion.

  • Darren's expressions whilst wandering around the Eden Project. All of them.

  • Marvelling at the otters at Newquay Zoo and their amazing energy.

  • The TWO Christmas dinners provided by Andy and Jeremiah who are stunning cooks.

  • Baking happily in the kitchen, making tray after tray of mince pies whilst singing along to a variety of my favourite sings on the ipod.

  • Discovering the joys of the XboX 360 and the highly addictive qualities of Fable 2.

  • The Supernatural DVD box set marathon.

  • Wandering along wild and windy wintery beaches, without being able to see another soul in sight

  • Lighting the house entirely with candles.

  • Making FIRE! Glorious glorious FIRE! Then basking on the hearth in the warmth of the fire

  • Spending a load of quality time with a bunch of wonderful people.

I have photos and shall try and put them up soon! in the interim, I think I can guarantee that I have no idea what has been going on in my absence, so...

[Poll #1317969]

I also arrived home to a small group of Christmas cards, which made me feel all happy and glowy. It has inspired me to send out my cards tomorrow, and hopefully they will still get there in time. I'll also send out a second lot on Monday. So...

[Poll #1317970]

In in the meantime, I think I'll floop and maybe try and poke the 86 e mails which are waiting for me.

Love you all. It's good to be home!
