I now have three bottles of 13.

I have the original:

In our paean to all the mysteries surrounding this enigmatic number, there are thirteen lucky and unlucky components, including white chocolate, tangerine, currant, mandarin, white tea and iris.

I have the pink and green version, from July 2007:

A base of cocoa absolute and white chocolate with thirteen baneful and beneficial bits including vanilla bean, white ginger, orchid, golden peach, massoia bark, clove, honey, and starfruit.

I have the purple and orange label, from April 2007:

A base of cocoa absolute and white chocolate with thirteen baneful and beneficial bits: cardamom, fig meat, grains of paradise, rice flower, chamomile, sandalwood, catnip, clove, and a bundle of five blessed blossoms and herbs.

This makes me so very happy. The original is my favourite perfume ever, but I think I might be about to fall in love with the 2007 version. It's got a slightly deeper and more sensual undertones. Original 13 smells bright, and edible and makes me feel as if I'm running through a cornfield on a summer's day, towards a waiting picnic (possibly with an attractive individual waiting for me there). April 2007 13 is the same scent, but later at night. It's a little more grown up - 13, under a dark and star studded sky. Sadly, [livejournal.com profile] castorlion thinks it smells of mildew.

July 2007 13, however, has gained a rare compliment from Jeremiah, however, so I might wear that slightly more often.

And why is it that I love 13 so much, but none of the other chocolate scents work on me?
