Tour de France
Jul. 8th, 2007 10:17 amThere is something bloody uncivilised about being woken up at 9 am by some cretin on a megaphone yelling "come on everyone! Wake up! Get on your bikes and have some fun".
Why the hell do a bunch of cyclists need the men with the megaphones going first? What does that add to their cycling? Why is it seen as reasonable to have quite as many of these people parading through residential areas on a Sunday morning?
Even the London marathon wasn't quite this noisy.
(as you may be able to tell, I'm not feeling very positive about the Tour de France this morning. It wasn't a nice way to get woken up at all.)
