Blog bullying

annwfynI just stumbled across this story about a blogger who has received a lot of really nasty death threats. Unsurprisingly, my sympathies are entirely with her.

hardwired went through when he was NST, the bullying that Leah and Robin got back on their blog, and some of the flame wars I've seen.
It's an odd thing we do, really. We create this unreal space, and then pour so much of ourselves out there - hopes, dreams, fears, personal details about our lives - and yet we do so in a space which actually doesn't have a lot of the protective barriers of normal human interaction. Most strange.
