More House stuff
Oct. 27th, 2005 08:20 pmWe got it!
We now have a new house for when our lease runs out. And, in fact, for a month beforehand, which means
bringeroflight and
christabelle9 have somewhere to move in to when they come to London and means
rweishaar,
pierot and myself bite the bullet and pay double rent for a month.
It's a gorgeous house. It's down by the river, just a bit further along towards Canada Water. It's got polished wood floors, and big leather sofas, and a huge kitchen with a stone tiled floor. There's a wooden decked garden out the back, which is just for us, and then a gate leading out into the big communal flowers and grass garden. There's also a private garage for Pridwen, and (most gloriously of all) the landlord is fine with us having kittens. He even says we can put a catflap in if we want.
I'm so happy about this. It's weird how emotional I get about houses. Not knowing where I'm going to be living, not sure about what is happening; it puts me on edge and makes me nervous. Knowing...well...it means I can start planning. And planning makes me happy.
Kittens, new bed, new computer...many things to organise. Not to mention a portfolio and some university work to make a start on.
Life is definitely looking up right now!
