House stuff
Oct. 26th, 2005 07:54 pmOK.
So we saw a house we liked tonight.
It's lovely. It's only three bedrooms, so no spare room, but it's got a huge living room, big kitchen, private garden and wood floors throughout. The bedrooms are all nice and big and it's in a wonderful area right next to the Thames.
The only thing. It's a REALLY nice house. Another group of people were going to look at it immediately after us. Then there's another group today. The estate agents will take it off the market once they've got a deposit from us. The only person who's got the cash is me, and I can't get it out of my savings account until Monday at the earliest, due to it being a savings account.
Gnargh!
I can't take the tension of moving house! Why can't they just say "you're going to take it? Fab! We'll hold it"?
*sighs*
I guess because they need to protect the landlord's interests and it is their job to make sure we aren't time wasters, but it is just SO goddamn nerve racking.
*twitches and trembles*
