As some perceptive people (like Ryan and jez) may have noticed - I'm not in Edinburgh. I shall still be going to Susan's wedding tomorrow, but today various things came up which meant that I couldn't get the train today, and am therefore going up early tomorrow morning in a very energetic fashion, so it's just as well I didn't book a flight. I'm also having to leave jez behind, which I'd been hoping not to do, but his knee is basically far far too beaten up to manage the journey, followed up by a wedding and reception and a journey back.
However, there is good news.
One of the things that came up today was the opportunity to go and meet some nice Rex coated cats. So we went. We spent an afternoon with the cats. And we discovered that
pierot has no allergic reaction to Rex cats at all. No sniffles, no tightness in the chest, no rash. Nothing.
*does her happy dance*
I think my kittens just stopped being at all theoretical.
Oh, and on that topic have some more kitten pics:

I'm in such a good mood.
Tomorrow I'll be getting on the train at 9.35 at London Euston, and travelling via carlisle (and why did bastard railtrack have to start engineering works this weekend? There are no direct trains, curse them) and will then arrive in Edinburgh just after lunch, before heading to Susan's wedding. I'll then be in Edinburgh until 16.38 on the Sunday when I get back on my train and arrive home at 22.32. I'm staying at the Links Hotel which is by the Bruntsfield Links, and it's going to be odd walking across the Meadows to get home in the evening. It's almost as if I'm rediscovering what it feels like to be 20 again.
I'm meeting up with people I like on Sunday lunchtime, and then home again. Oh, and on Wednesday I get to go and see kittens. Go me! Go life!
