Oct. 3rd, 2005 09:59 pm- I have a job interview tomorrow morning! Go me! It's at 10 am for a permanent & part time position at Imperial Cancer Research - nothing very exciting and mostly just receptionist and switchboard stuff, but twould be for a good and reputable company, with money that stops me from worrying too much, and will make me happy.
Generally I seem to be in my temp agency's good books at the moment. I got phoned up about another possible job today as well - working for an accountancy firm for £8k per year for 3 days per week. - I'm hoping to head to Oxford before the end of the week to pick up college type materiels and get properly registered as still being a student this year. I was hoping to go see
lanfykins while I was there, but am not sure if her mobile is currently working as recent attempts to dial the number I have have met in failure.
Sarah - if you read this and can let me know how to contact you, you shall be loved and appreciated.
Anyone else - if they can prod me Sarah-wards they shall also be loved. - As of today I started work on my portfolio for my conservation masters. What this means is that I need to prove 'manual dexterity' with something like a sketchbook. What I'm working on are watercolours. It's very odd trying to be artistic after such a long gap - I think the last time I tried to paint I was about 15. On the other hand, it's proving surprisingly fun. Bless the grandmother who originally taught me to paint watercolours. I love you, Granny Mary.
- I'm now booked for Wednesday and Thursday night that I can definitely and totally remember - Wednesday night being a night out with siblings, and Thursday night being dinner, drinks & Serenity with assorted Surrey Quays type people. Is there anything else I'm meant to be doing this week that I've forgotten about? I'm aware I have the most abysmal memory and tend to forget things.
- I got some bad news re: kittens today. One of the kittens - Madoc - is apparently a bit poorly and doesn't seem to be growing as well as the others. Debbie, the nice lady who has them at the moment and bred them, is taking him to the vet on Wednesday, but I'm a bit anxious about him. He's so little. I really do want him to be OK.

That awful pay
Date: 2005-10-03 10:19 pm (UTC)Surely you meant to say £8 an hour?

Date: 2005-10-03 11:24 pm (UTC)The most reliable way to contact a Sarah used to be the Cam IRC channel - have you tried that?

Date: 2005-10-04 07:29 am (UTC)I've now hunted down Sarah and all is well :) Somewhat worryingly (and maybe a sign of a changing lifestyle) - I don't have irc on my computer anymore. I know I could download it again, but I think I'm rather keen on not - it is nice having the connection with the real world and I know irc sucks me in rather badly.
