So, as regular readers of my journal may be aware, I work at Benjamin Franklin House. I run their education programme, and we run kids events. Do you have kids? Do you know any kids? Everyone must know some children, right?
Anyway, we've got a special series of free science events for primary age kids on 20 March.
National Science & Engineering Week
Saturday 20 March, Drop in between 11am – 3pm
In honour of Franklin, the science innovator, enjoy a free open day, suitable for all ages. The 2010 theme is earth: discover Franklin’s studies of water and movement and explore the Midden of Mystery in the courtyard to uncover some of the secrets the earth has kept for centuries.
Free for all
It will be really fun. There will be minature boat races, some games in which kids can learn to be archaeologists and uncover old bones and things, and various interactive computer games. It's also totally free.
So, if you've got kids and aren't doing anything on 20 March, I'd like to plug this totally. Feel free to repost/spread around, for I would like children to come and play with my cool mini-boat race.

Date: 2010-03-06 01:44 am (UTC)Alas I shall not be able to make it. Nor shall my kids. Apparantly putting a three year old on the train by themselves and telling them to meet a demented magpie at a museum is frowned upon ;)
