My cat is currently sitting on the top of the sitting room door.

We left a coat hanging over the corner of it, and he basically dug his claws into that and used it to crampon himself up the side of the door and onto the top.

I'm not quite sure how he's planning on getting down, but I'm sure he has a plan...

Cats I believe have a true hierachy, the higher you are, the more power you have. Therefore it has climbed up onto the door so it can prove it's inate superiority and will later further reinforce this by making you get it down and feed it :)
