Kerflopple....
Oct. 23rd, 2007 03:34 pmIt's good that I volunteer at the Greenwich Fan Museum.
It's good that I get on well with the permanent staff there, and they like me.
It's good that one of the reasons they like me is that I can come in to help them out with a function they are holding when asked at the last minute.
It's good that I once did bits of silver service waitressing and can apparently remember bits of it after all these years.
It's good that everyone is happy.
But gods! I'm exhausted.
I wasn't expecting to spend three hours today on my feet, rushing around after a group who were using the orangery at the Fan Museum for some random annual outing. On the plus side, I got a free lunch out of it, the House Manager was lovely to me about it, and I guess I'd just have been kicking around the house had I not been working. It was a little distressing to get on the bus to go home and realise then that my oyster card was out of money. However, the walk home probably did me good, and it was only a bit over half an hour.
I'm still tire...
