Atonement

Another film review - a group of us went to see Atonement last night.

I liked a lot of it, but found it, in some ways, a very unsatisfying film. There was very little narrative - something happens in the first section, and the final message of the film seems to be that no one ever recovers from that, and maybe that atonement isn't possible.

I'm a sucker for a happy ending, I know, and it was a bit mournful to realise that the two characters who really do nothing wrong are entirely destroyed by the story. On the other hand, it was a beautifully shot and very well told story, which probably makes up for it, in part.

In other news, my sleeping patterns are being odd. I was asleep on my feet from 10 pm last night, and then woke up at 8 am with a head full of confused thoughts. I'm still finding these stray thoughts running around my head.

I wonder how these patterns will adjust now I'm back at college.

:) count yourself lucky, I've been up since 4:30am

Not that I feel tired per se, just puzzled about what my sleep patterns have become over the last 6 months.

Then again, it's probably sleep apneoa that keeps waking me up...
