- 1) My documentation for my car insurance arrived today. I'd been panicking that I'd accidentally bought third party, fire and theft insurance, but thankfully this isn't the case. My skoda-car is now insured with Norwich Union, with roadside recovery and fully comprehensive insurance.
2) I've just spoken to the nice people at Currys and discovered that my laptop is under warranty, and because the screen is so comprehensively screwed (it's not just a crack on the screen, a la
3) I still have today and tomorrow to finish the write up of my project. I've got the first 1000 words written, and I think I can write another 2000 words in two days.
4) I have a house, a car, two gorgeous cats, a garden, and fabulous people to live with. The world is not ending. The sky is not falling on my head. I even have new LJ icons.
Can anyone else think of things I should feel positive and cheerful about today, even in the midst of near-catastrophe?

She's actually been a gem. It's the first time I've had a car that I've managed to get it through an entire year without needing to call roadside recovery once!
