Sally's Quiet Weekend of Doing Nothing
Nov. 12th, 2005 01:40 pmI just spent £70 on cat stuff.
Somehow, all of this seemed necessary.
It was, in order:
1 kitten scratching post
1 kitten carrier
1 litter tray
1 bag of cat litter
1 kitten bed
5 cartons of kitten milk
1 bag of kitten food
1 little dangling kitten toy (only cost £2, so felt like not an extravagence)
4 stainless steel bowls for dry food, wet food, & water
1 wipe clean mat to put the food bowls on and stop messiness.
I'm now home, having spent most of this morning wandering around, first of all trying to find my way to Pets At Home in Blackheath, then wandering around Greenwich (the market does great and sinful breakfast food - freshly baked chocolate brownie with a swirl of raspberry jam in the middle = mmmmmm), and finally coming back to find
bringeroflight out, and
rweishaar watching Black Hawk down. It's very odd watching a movie and suddenly being aware that the person sitting next to you was actually there.
Hrm. Just wrote a long ramble on my views on war, the military and Armistice Day and then deleted it. I don't think I'm really qualified to make these comments. Maybe I'll try and formulate it a bit better later.
