annwfynSo, I recently watched Season One of Glee. Having watched it, I can see why:
a) some of my friends find it really quite hinky. The show talks a good talk about diversity, but then uses some of the non-sparkly pretty white able bodied leads all the damn time, whilst criminally underusing their much more varied supporting cast. Mercedes and Artie, in particular, have the most amazing voices which are almost criminally underused.
b) some of my friends find it epically glorious. The songs are fab, I find the characters very loveable and it's just terribly fun to watch. Plus, it has Sue Sylvester, who I find utterly inspirational as a villain and want to set up a small shrine to.
And, because I'm a sharing creature, I offer you some of my favourite songs, so you can feel the magic.

BTW, in case anyone was wondering, I shan't be in Hatfield this afternoon, as I have Stuff To Do, but may be there for a bit this evening. Hope to see as many as possible this evening!
