Because I've just found a website that sells monkey puzzle trees.
I've always wanted one of those. I think they are just fantastic - visually stunning, really unusual and just very cool and prickly. And one could be mine for just the cost of £39 and a garden to put it in.
For those who aren't quite seeing what I'm seeing when you look at the seedling pic, a full size version looks like this
